So, I have discovered how much I love the fact that communication is so instant now. I learned that a few days after Kevin started WOCS (Warrant Officer Candidate School). Since Kevin is not allowed to use his cell phone at WOCS, instant communication has vanished! Kevin and I spent a lot of time texting each other while we were dating. Now, I can only communicate with Kevin by “snail mail”, no more instant communication. I find myself going to my phone a lot expecting a text message from him or wanting to text him. So whenever that happens, I grab any piece of paper I can find and make myself a note. At the end of the day, I go to write another letter to my love!
I have not been able to communicate with Kevin for about three days, and in those three days I have written a lot. I have discovered that I will write whenever I can and wherever I am!
For example….
I was babysitting the other night. The young girl I was watching wanted to color pictures, so that is what we did for about two hours. I had colored about five princess pictures before we decided to write to Kevin. I got out some printer paper and decided to tell my husband all about the fun I was having babysitting (and I was having fun, REALLY!).
I wrote him two letters (the best part…I used crayons!) The first letter was just about my day and babysitting. The second letter was eight words long. I wrote, “I love you” using the phonetic alphabet or the International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet. (The phonetic alphabet is significant because the military uses it)

I told my husband to him to keep them all the letters he receives from so I can put them in our scrapbook! These letters will be something the both of us will cherish for the rest of our lives!
I found out that I will see Kevin sooner than later; I will get to see him in 37 days!!!!!!! I wonder how many letters I can write in 37 days?????
